Phototherapy is the use of light to cure ailments. Typical applications are in the treatment of skin diseases such as psoriasis and in the area of prenatal care, hyperbilirubinemia. As much of the treatments for skin diseases involves the use of UVA and UVB radiation, it is critical to correctly monitor the dosage. Over exposure to UV light can cause severe sunburn and cancer. International Light carries a complete line of phototherapy radiometers for both research and diagnostic applications. The IL1402 and IL1702 UVA phototherapy radiometers include both the meter and specific detector configurations as well as the IL1403 and IL1703 UVB phototherapy radiometers.

The detectors, the SED(L)033/UVA/W(TD) and SED(L)240/UVB-1/W(TD) are also available separately. An optional detector, SED(L)/240/UVB/W(TD) is available for applications requiring better band discrimination. An XIR single wavelength calibration is available for TL series lamps at 311 nm, or SED005/TLD312/TD can be used.

The detector SEL005/TLS312/TD is also available, and is best suited for
TL-01 lamp measurement.
